This morning, my little brother and sister woke me up at 7, with cries of, "The Easter Bunny came! The Easter Bunny came!" So I was dragged into my parent's bedroom where we (or rather, my sibs and Mom) woke Dad up. Mom then went downstairs to check that the Easter Bunny came, and we kids sent off on our hunt for candy.
We followed the trail of jellybeans down the staircase to the library, where there were three plastic baskets full of pencils (yay!!!), a couple erasers (yay! again!), a chocolate bunny, and a 9-pack bundle of Tootsie pops. The three of us ran around the room like my dog does when he sees a squirrel, trying to find the colorful plastic eggs with candy in them. After scouring the room thoroughly, we sat down so Mom and Dad could make sure that the two of us oldest hadn't stolen from our little brother. It turned out that my sis had 19 eggs, I had 16, and Ben had 12. Mom made my sister give Ben 3, so the total was now: Gertrude (that's me)- 16 eggs; Georgette (my 13-yr-old sister)- 16 eggs, and Ben (my 10-yr-old brother)- 15. Mom said that it was fair, so the candy-eating, egg-opening, and trading began.
After settling into our Easter routine and moving into the living room, Mom and Dad had me turn on Pride and Prejudice, the Six-Part. My parents and I had watched the Keira Knightly/Matthew Macfadyen version last night, and my mom and I had gotten my dad hooked on it too. He's a big history buff, so the language and scenery had him enchanted within the first five minutes. We were all interested in viewing the Six-Part, because Cami and her mom both swear by it. After the end of part one, my mom and I agreed, however, that the Knightly/Macfadyen version is better, despite Colin Firth starring in the Six-Part.
I'm currently debating with myself whether I should buy the K/M version on my iPhone, because, for $9.99, it's cheaper than anywhere will sell it on DVD, and the DVD we watched is Cami's. She brought it over here yesterday in one of her many escapades.
Is anyone else super-psyched for the royal wedding on Friday? I am. I'm just so miffed that I have to go to school and I can't watch it live!
I'm telling my mom that you disrespect the Firth.
