Ribco

Hey. I hate Ribco, in case you haven't realized this yet. If you don't know who Ribco is, he's the alter ego of my friend Zombieman13. Read his blog at www.zombieman13.blogspot.com. Yeah. Go read it. You'll know why I hate him.

2012

Do you believe in 2012? I do. I think that the producers of the movie "2012" saw the future and decided to tell us unsuspecting humans. So when we die, I hope I've met Paul McCartney, seen The Who live, and gotten a book published.
Wouldn't you love to meet Paul McCartney?? I'd be all, "OMG YOU'RE PAUL MCCARTNEY!" I'd talk to him so much that he'd get annoyed, slap me across the face, give me a "boot to the head" (thanks John Cleese!) and strut away. Then I'd realize that he was old, get over him, and GO STALK ROGER DALTREY!
I'd like to shout a "WOOT WOOT!!!" to Monty Python. John Cleese, Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, and Graham Chapman. If you've never seen any of their stuff, go onto Youtube and search "Monty Python self defense from fruit", "Monty Python it's the mind", "Monty Python fish slapping dance", "Monty Python confuse a cat", "Monty Python ministry of silly walks", or just plain ole' "Monty Python", because everything they do is pure genius.

Zombies vs. Unicorns

My friend Alex was just telling me about a book she's reading, and once I get my hands on it, I think it'll be my favorite book EVER!!!! It's about zombies and unicorns and unicorns, and they all love The Beatles and The Who! I've read books where they talk about The Beatles- I mean, who hasn't?- but never, not once have I heard someone in a book talk about The Who. What's the matter with people?!?! John Entwistle, Keith Moon, Pete Townshend, and Roger Daltrey deserve recognition!!! They are just as amazing as The Beatles! I can see why parents would want their kids listening to "Eleanor Rigby" over "You Better You Bet", but for kids over, like, 10, The Who is fantastic!!!!!! But I was talking about "Zombies vs. Unicorns". Sorry. Anyway, one of the characters started to sing "Behind Blue Eyes" apparently, so I HAVE to borrow it from Alex.
I woke up this morning in a foul mood. But on the way to school, I listened to a song on my iPod that said, "La la how their life goes on", and another one that said, "If I smile tell me some bad news before I laugh and act like a fool." I decided to go with the first song.

PS- If anyone knows what songs those lyrics are from, comment on this post. If you're right, you'll get the song of knowing that you are enlightened in the ways of SUPER FABTABULOUS MUSIC!
Shanti shanti.

OMG- Funniest. Quote. EVER!

Okay, so I'm hanging out with one of my best friends, ya know? And being the way we are, we talk about the most random stuff in the universe. We were talking about musicals and my friend, who by the way now has a blog on blogspot, which you can read by going to www.missing-ideas.blogspot.com, just joined a musical. She told me I would have liked it if I had joined. I proceded to protest, "No, I won't join musicals because I don't sing!!!" She looked at me like I had just grown wings and a pig's tail and flown to Pluto, and says, "You don't sing? YOU DON'T SING?? That's the biggest lie you've ever told in your life besides 'I'm fine' and 'No I don't like him!!'" I then proceded to roll around on the floor laughing my head off and gasping for breath. I'm still rotflmho.

Diana. Diana, Diana, Diana.

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but my day so far has been all about England. And not frivolous England, like stuff that doesn't really matter, or isn't relevant, like The Beatles or The Who (says the girl listening to the Beatles while she writes this), but interesting England. English history. I went to see a Princess Diana exhibit in a museum today, and it was amazing. Breathtaking, spectacular, wonderful, incredible, fantastic, superb.
The exhibit started with her tiara. That alone took your breath away. After that, you walked into a room dedicated to the women in the Spencer family. My head was spinning after that room alone. I had never seen so much costly adornment, and all in one place! It was diamonds, silver, gold, you name it and it was in that room.
The next room was her childhood. Ballet and tap-dancing shoes, handwritten letters to her parents, addressed "Dear Mummy and Daddy", and "Darling Dad", diaries, school uniforms, childhood toys, portraits, photo albums, report cards. It was cool to see such a legend as a child. There were photos and videos taken of her by her father that were placed and shown throughout that room.
Room number four was dedicated to her charitable works. Photos of Diana in all sorts of places all over the world were the room's main attraction. There was a prayer book, given to her by Mother Theresa, in a glass case.
The fifth room was, in my opinion, the big shebang, the whole reason for the exhibit: The wedding gown Princess Diana wore when she married Prince Charles on July 29, 1981! It was in a giant glass case, on a mannequin. The thing was stunning. Made of ivory silk with sequins and pearls dotting it, puffy sleeves, ruffled neckline, cinched waist, full skirt, a glorious 25-foot-long train and a veil attached to a diamond-encrusted tiara, the gown was breathtaking. It was, quite possibly, the most beautiful, radiant thing I have ever laid my eyes on. On the wall behind the dress' case was a video screen showing wedding footage.
Of course, our spirits took a dramatic plunge into the "depths of despair" as we walked into the next room. "Candle in the Wind" by Elton John was playing, and so you knew that you were about to see something awful. Yep. That's exactly what you saw. Funeral footage. The thing that finally moved me to tears was when they showed a shot of the card from Prince Harry, addressed "Mummy", on top of her casket. It was awful.
And last but not least, the room with 29 of her dresses! They were all gorgeous, of course. Princess Diana had good taste!
This exhibit has made me realize something. Princess Diana was, and always will be, the "people's princess".
