It. Is. Roger. Harry. Daltrey's. Birthday. TOMORROW!!!!!!! He was born to Harry and Irene Daltrey on March 1st, 1944. I am so excited. My friend Joe and I LOVE The Who. Rant on Mikuru and Koizumi... To be or not to be??

Okay. Sorry for the confusing title, those of you who obviously live under a rock. Mikuru Asahina and Itsuki Koizumi are like Japanese fictional Romeo and Juliet. (Don't ask me why we call Mikuru by her first name and Koizumi by his last, because I have no idea.) Mikuru is an adorable like 17 or 18 year old, and Koizumi must be like a little younger than that. I'm reading a Really Good Book

I'm reading an epic book. It's called "Unbearable Lightness", by Portia de Rossi, Ellen DeGeneres' wife. It's really good. I recommend it for teenage girls. It's all about Portia's struggle with anorexia and bulimia and it's really scary, yet good at the same time. It's good a beautiful ending, and it sure does teach a lesson!

Today I realized that if I want my friends to keep reading my blog, I should stop posting about Justin Bieber. They already have to look at him while they read my words, so I probably should stop writing about him too. I'll just have to be content with beautiful Bieber thoughts. 

Of course, I could write about The Who or The Beatles or one of my various other musical obsessions, but I know people who hate them too. And people who love them. (To Cami Errant- "WHO loves them???) Haha inside joke. Zombieman13 might know it too. 

I'll just be content with OMG DID ANY OF YOU SEE THAT YOUTUBE VIDEO WHERE THAT 3 YEAR OLD GIRL CODY IS CRYING OVER JUSTIN BIEBER?!?!?!?! It's sooo cute! If not, go find it.

Who Wants to Be My Baby??

And with those words, a legend was born.

You see, today I went with my mom, my sister, and her best friend and one of my best friends to the Justin Bieber movie. It was amazing. It's also the reason that I'm writing this in purple instead of my usual pink, because as all of us crazed fans know, purple is JB's favorite color. Remember that post where I gave JBiebs a B+? Change that to an A+, or a 12 out of 10. He's pretty amazing. Even my MOM, a woman whose musical tastes tend to focus around Don Henley, Rod Stewart, and James Taylor, was dancing during the movie and actually reprimanded me for turning off the song "Baby" while eating a muffin in the kitchen. 

I now have a higher level of respect for JB. He really is a musical genius. You should see him drumming at age 2. Pretty impressive! 

I have to admit, though, that during at least half of the movie I sat there and thought, "Wow, this guy is pretty lucky. He's not even 17 yet and he's got a movie about his life, and Sir Paul McCartney is about to turn 69 and I'm still waiting for his feature film!" For those of you who know me, I'm sure you're rolling your eyeballs and thinking, "Typical Gertrude!"

Please go see "Never Say Never". It's pretty wicked. (And not to mention, but JB has his shirt off for a while in it...)

Justin Bieber

Sorry to those friends of mine that I know read my blog and hate JB, but I'm devoting an entire blog post to him. His face, hair, guitar that randomly appears whenever he's around cute girls in music videos, and his music. 

Face: Very cute. A+, maybe A because of his nose which is really tiny. And someone so cute can only get cuter from here, right??? :)

Hair: Hot. A+++++++. Oh wait. I forgot the new haircut. A-. 

Guitar that randomly appears whenever he's around cute girls in music videos: Slightly cool. B. If he used it to play The Who or The Beatles, A. Not A+ because acoustic guitars have been out since 1959, with a slight comeback in the late 1960s, but they're out again. Electric all the way!!!

Music: Catchy teen-pop beats that most of us will forget in 2-3 years, if not months. Sorry, JBiebs. I tell it like it is. 

So, overall, JB earns a B+.

I Made a Blanket

I made a blanket!!!! It's the second one I've done. I love me my blankies!!!

I'm Not Doing Anything... Someone Call or Text Me PLEASE

I am, as previously expressed, really, super, extremely bored. I'm not doing anything today, except groaning about my impending doom. Impending doom for me is... GYM CLASS!!!!! I hate running. But I digress. The real reason that I'm on the Internet, filling all your brains with blah blah boring stuff that only matter to me is that I. Am. Really. BORED! None of my friends have updated their blogs in about, like, at least since yesterday, and so I have nothing to read. One of my best friends won't text me back, another doesn't text, and yet another is so depressed that they may never speak again. So, friends of mine that I know read my blog, please text me back. Seriously. I am so lonely right now, with only my blog and strains of "Behind Blue Eyes" floating down from my sibling's bedroom to comfort me. :-( 

Haha. I just finished blogging about how depressed I am. Now I'm going to blog about something funny. You guys know who Monty Python is? Digressing again! ANYway, my brother was talking to my sister and my sister goes, "Tomorrow's Valentine's day!" And my brother goes, "No it's not." So my dad cracked up and now we are being contrary all day long. Like, "Hey, Fred, tomorrow is Monday!" "No it's not." "Paul McCartney is hot!" "No he's not." "Zombieman13 and urFACE need to update their blogs please!" "No they don't." Fans of the asdf movies will find that funny. I think.


Looky here! I got on the computer, intending to go into my word processer (or however you spell it) to make V-Day cards for my friends, but I just wrote a really long blog post and probably killed at least one small African mammal with my boring words! Yay! Okay. Whatever.

2 Hour Delay... Again

I'm freaking out. We have a 2 hour delay today and I'm supposed to have a Health test!!!The worst part? Because of the 2 hour delay, our schedule is messed up, and I'm gonna have to take the Health test during lunch, which, by the way, is already occupied! Grrrr...... Gonna go read a book and listen to The Who now...
 

I AM SO ANGRY!

I am so angry!!! I've heard, and from many people, that The Who is gonna be performing today at halftime during the Superbowl! That. Is. A. LIE! My family and I Googled it, and they gave the halftime slot to the Black Eyed Peas, of all people! In past years, it's been Sir Paul, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and so couldn't they have followed up with the Animals, or SOMETHING?!?!?!?!? ANGER!

Please, Look Past the Oufits!!!

Sorry for posting about three-four times a day today, but I was just watching the Who on YouTube, and a thought struck me. I remembered how, just the other night, I had showed my friend The Who singing "My Generation" on YouTube, and she was so blinded by the flamboyancy of their clothes and Roger's hair, that she didn't notice the creative genius behind the song, or even listen to the lyrics! And this morning, I was watching "Pinball Wizard" and "Behind Blue Eyes", and realized just how blindsided some prejudiced some people are! Please, oh readers, please look past the clothes, crass attitudes, and abundance of insanely curly blond hair, and LISTEN. Notice the music, the lyrics. Watch Pete Townshend and John Entwistle kill guitar and bass solos! Look at Keith Moon and Zak Starkey (but mostly KEITH!!) rock out on totally wicked drum solos! Laugh when Roger Daltrey struts around stage, trying to look cool but failing! And above all else, enjoy the music. Please. These three songs that I'm including links for have helped give us music as we have it now.

I'm only writing this so Zombieman13 will stop yelling at me to update. I do, however, have an interesting idea for an alter ego of my own, like Ribco...

All I'm gonna tell you is that she's 5 foot 6 inches, has long red hair, green eyes, and her name is Cordelia. Yeah, I totally stole that from Anne of Green Gables. Whatever, I still think Anne is the ultimate heroine of literature ever. Such a kindred spirit.

No, seriously, I am formulating ideas for my own alter ego. Coming, coming, coming, got it! It's a guy, is that weird? We have the same opinions on a lot of stuff, though, and that's why he's my alter ego. His name is, well, I have no clue. Comment on my blog and help me name my unnamed alter ego.

How are you? We're not so well, but we'll get better as time goes by. We miss you a lot. This morning, I got out of bed and swore I heard that little bell that you always have on your collar. I jumped back into bed and started crying. It turns out that the "bell" was just the sound of the second hand on my watch ticking. "Tick tick tick tick tick," turned into, because of my twisted and warped mind, "Jingle jingle jingle jingle silence "Mom! The cat's bell fell off again!!!"." It was epic. NOT. It also made me think, though. It made me wonder what you're up to, and if you've met Lady Linda and Keith Moon yet. If you have, tell Lady Linda I am extremely jealous of her, and tell Keith that, "Man! Your drumming is SICK! Like, in "Won't Get Fooled Again"!!!!!"  Also tell Keith that he's still got a fangirl in me. (If you don't know what a fangirl is, ask my friend urFACE.) Love you!
